On 5 February 2010 we purchased a bedroom suite for the value of around R18000. Before the purchase we enquired whether we could get the furniture delivered the next day but were told that delivery could only be made on Mon 8 Feb. We made the first payment of R10000 and paid the rest the next day. When we wanted to confirm delivery, the manager then told us that they didn't have stock but assured us that delivery would be made in maximum of 2 weeks (by Sat 20 Feb). Last week my mom went to enquire a few times about delivery. She was told by the assistant manager that there was still no stock available. Shockingly, the sales person, who hid from my mom a few times, then offered to give her the display bedroom suite in the meantime. The furniture has still not been delivered and we're now trying to get a refund. I have called customer care and they are dealing with the matter and so far the service has been good and I hope our money will be refunded without any hassles. The reason I write this is that I'm really disturbed that we were lied to about stock availability and delivery; that we have to wait for so long for items we paid for in cash; and that we were offered a display unit.
