Employer Compliance Service -- Washington, D.C.

Today, we received a mailing from Employer Compliance Services notifying us about postings we were required to have in our workplace. They charge $62.95 (shipping included) for a full set of federal and state required posters. The vast majority of this information is available on the web for free by going to the appropriate government web sites (www.dol.gov, www.osha.gov, etc.). If the posters are not on the web site, you can request to have them mailed to you, also free (Ohio Department of Job and Family Services' order form is easy to use).

Employer Compliance Service takes advantage of small businesses who may not be aware of what they can get inexpensively or for free. We are a small nonprofit and will not spend $62.95 on *anything* that we can get for free.
