Is this "ER-Solutions, Inc" a real company that works collecting money or is just one of those that call people only to see if you give them money...

I got a letter fromt them saying that I owe $459.70 to CRI Purchasing Corp. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THAT IS. They said I could pay half if I call them in 2 weeks. I never did, I won't give any money to anyone that ask for it... I don't even know why they said I have a debt!!


They haven't called... or if they did, I never answer when I am at work! and I never got any messages.

I think they are like a company I got a call from about 5 months ago saying that I owed $1, 000 for a verizon bill.. when I asked them to check with verizon they said they don't talk to them, that I needed to pay. So I called Verizon and they said that my account was in ZEROS since I canceled 2 years ago.

So my question is.. if this is a lie... can it affect my credit? does anyone know?
