Island Yellow Pages strong arms companies into paying for online advertising. They use verbal recorded contracts then they renew automatically unless notified in writing. A former employee authorized the advertising for 2007, then it was automatically renewed. When Island Yellow pages called for payment (1 week prior to the end of the first year's term), they were told that it was not authorized for renewal, and that it was not wanted. They have hounded us weekly for payment, each time acting as if they have never made a call to us before. It was turned over to a collection agency who is now hounding us for payment. Island Yellow Pages rep admits that we should have been given the accurate info to cancel at the time of the first call, but now that we are into the year, we need to negotiate an amount to pay to get out of it. Absolute scam artists.
