We bought a new Fiat 1200 in the last year. The vehicle was delivered to us and towed back to the dealer within two days. The vehicle has been for repairs ever since to the extend that Fiat decided to do a complete re-build on the motor. The vehicle was with Fiat Umhlanga for three months. We collected the vehicle only for Fiat to tow the vehicle back within two days. The vehicle was repaired again and within a week lost certain gears. The vehicle went back to Fiat Umhlanga and was repaired. The vehicle is currently been towed back from Johannesburg to Durban as only two gears are functional. I collected the vehicle after a service and on inspection realized that certain parts of the service was not carried out. I questioned the motor technician who serviced the vehicle and was told that he is not qualified. I wrote to Fiat SA and questioned if we are charged the same rate for qualified and unqualified technicians and was told he was assisted by a qualified technician. The so called qualified person was no where to be found on the day in question. I am paying for a vehicle that's been with the supplier for repairs for half the period since i've purchased the vehicle.
