PLEASE READ ALL DETAILS: FIFTH THIRD BANK IS A RIP OFF! DO NOT INVEST YOUR BANK AT THIS BANK. THEY ARE TAKING PEOPLE HARD EARNED MONEY! I recently re-opened by checking and savings account with 5/3 bank. I was an employee for over 2 yrs. Their overdraft fees are to high. I have a checking and savings which is included with overdraft protection. Do not get this! You are charge $10.00 per transaction to cover the over draft plus an additional $37.00 for the services. I was charge $37.00 for an $4.17 transaction which I have over $3000.00 in my savings account instead of deducted $4.17 out of my savings, I was charge $10.00 plus $37.00 dollars. It's best to just have a checking account. I would advise anyone to have an account with a credit union. The other problem I had: My deposit went into my acccount at 1am in the morning. I had two transactions come through after 1am.. I was charged a overdraft fee of $33.00 for each transaction. If you bank with a credit union, the credit union will give you 24 hours or next business day to bring the account out of the (-). Now I also had the funds in the savings instead of pulling the funds from my saving it was pulled out of my direct deposit (paycheck). I was told the reason why it did not cover from my savings because I had a deposit come through. FIFTH THIRD BANK IS A RIP OFF! DO NOT INVEST YOUR BANK AT THIS BANK.
