A message was left on my cell phone from a woman that identified herself as "Officer Monica Williams". This call kept cutting in and out and the best I could make of the call, she said she was with the "Financial Infraction Division" of what, I have no idea. She threatened me with legal action if I did not return her call and said that I was being investigated and would be prosecuted if I did not return her call immediately. She called from phone # 013-527-8474 but I was to return the call to this # 281-940-1612 which is apparently in Houston TX. The call originated in Central America, but the woman had a rather distinctive Indi accent. I had received a call earlier in the day from a former employer saying this woman had called and left a message for me to call her and that I was involved in some sort of legal process. Apparently she called them with my SSAN and asked questions about my employment, which she got no information about from them but they did tell her they would try to give me the message. I don't know how she got my SSAN or my former employer information, and it doesn't really matter but I don't appreciate her calling other people leaving them with information and messages for them to get to me or threatening me when calling my number. I have never heard of a "Financial Infraction Division" and could find no information about any such organization. All this seems very fraudulent to me!
On investigating I find there are a number of complaints related to these two numbers.
