. I applied last November for a loan modification. I heard nothing so called in January. They could not find my paperwork. I submitted it again. In February I called and they could not find my paperwork. By now we were two months behind, and I had lost my job . The third time they received the paperwork and said we were being put on a four month forbearance. I explained I was interested in the Making Homes Affordable Loan. They then bought my past years taxes, which I understand, and then the year that wasn't even due yet, and added that to my bill. I was told we would immediately go into the modification once the four month forbearance was up. Our last payment was September 17th. I called on the 18th only to be told with my unemployment, we did not qualify. The rep, Noel Boeheme, in loss mitigation, stated that I had to get a full time job. Part time would not work, and it couldn't be Internet work, had to be a check in hand. I asked if there was an income guideline, and was told no, minimum wage was ok. Now have been given two months more of forbearance and told I have two months to get a job, and if I don't, I will be turned down on the modification. I was told to start with that the modification would be immediate, and now am told I don't have one. I have been battling with them now for a year. I have jumped through everyone of their hoops, and have not missed a payment since February of this year. I am making October and November's payments on the 17th, the forbearance amount, but fear they will take my home anyway. A loan modification company called today and stated that Franklin was trying to play games with me, and wanted me to get a full time job, so they can take 31 percent of our income, which would be more than what we owed to start with. I am contacting an attorney, reporting them to the attorney general, contacting my senator, my local news station to do a story on them, and writing an article for two sites i wrote for on the internet. Also joining a class action lawsuit against them. Maybe they will do something then? I am trying all of my options here.
