I had a credit card account with First North American National Bank in 1997. I don't recall the account number, but the account was overdue and turned over to Attorney William D. Smith in August, 1997. I spoke with Mr. Garrett from the office of William D. Smith and arranged for a settlement of the account. The original amount was $2392.20 and it was settled for $1196.10. A certified letter with the check was sent on September 15, 1997 and the account was closed. However, I have and still am receiving collection notices from two different attorneys : Bronson & Migliaccio, LLP ; and Gerald E. Moore & Associates, PC. I want this harassment to stop!
