The impetus of Vulcan Strength was the desire to provide the fitness industry with the most durable and affordable bumper plates. Vulcan’s proprietary method of bonding the steel insert to the rubber plate as well as pioneering the use of unique rubber compounds not used previously for fitness equipment applications placed Vulcan in a high position as an authority in strength training equipment.
Olympic bars came later in Vulcan’s product development but quickly became the standard for many Olympic Weightlifting competitions and gyms.
