I was all excited to do a little temp work at Focus Features. I always thought Focus produced interesting indie films. On my first day I was met with a bunch of rude people. I was constantly being yelled at for not knowing where people sat, in one instance I was yelled at because I placed the newspaper in someone’s box the “wrong way, ” another because I should have changed the water jug--- the list could go on! By the end of my first day and I did not want to go back. I have had the opportunity to work in some really cool offices-filled with creative geniuses that are also great people. The people at Focus were just horrible. Everyone treated me like shit because I was the “temp” and they pretty much told me I was stupid...that happened on my second day! I warn anyone to stay away from that company—it’s a company filled with snooty, rude, angry people. After working there I don’t ever want to see or support any of their films.
