I answered a promotional email for a brand new foodsaver, and decided to order it. They said that there would be shipping charges of 26.00 if order was under $100.00. Since my order for the unit came to 174.00 I felt safe in ordering the product.
They offered a 3 payment plan which I chose, and upon checkout the first payment actually came below the 100.00 minimum. I noticed the shipping charges after I submitted my
I tried unsuccessfully to cancel my order, or to add to my order to bring the total above $1oo.oo and was not able to.
OK so I callo customer service to register my complaint, and they said there was nothing they could do for me, and even admitted once order was placed there was no way to gain access to it to adjust or cancel.
This seems like a pure scam to me, just another tricky way for an online company to take advantage of the consumer. .
