No customer service!!
We had a new motor put in our Mountaineer June 2006. In Nov/Dec 2008 the motor blew again. Our Mechanic determined the problem was Ford did not tighten bolts on the new motor. They were found in the pan. Ford would not pay our Mechanics hourly rate so we had to take in to a dealer. The dealer said that because we could not produce receipts on all of the oil changes, we did not take care of the vehicle. We did, but I can't keep every receipt. Now, it will cost us another $5000.00.
We are still paying on the vehicle, paying on the first loan for the first motor, and now how are we to come up with another $5000.00. I tried to work with Ford Customer Service and all they did was call the dealership that has the vehicle. The person at the dealership was so rude and accusative that I had to talk to his supervisor. The supervisor said that he had to talk to the guy before and would talk to him again. Once I have the money to replace the motor again, it will not be another ford Engine!

Refused to repair defective Lincoln
I purchased a Lincoln aviator new. I had a failed starter 2 weeks after warranty expired. They said this was highly unusual. It cost me apprx. $450. Heritage Ford in Loveland, CO was to call me in 2 days. I called the service manager and he was to check into it and would call me back. No call, and that was 3 months ago. I didn't figure he would call as I asked if he had my phone number and he said "no". He never did! I definitely would not recommend that they retain a dealership. I'd like to be reimbursed. Honda would NEVER do this! No more fords. What poor service!

They will rip you off
Duval ford had my crane for 2 months. they could not fix problem 50 000 miles on a f 550 do not take your truck there will cost you big bucks and lots of down time with no good excuse..b.s George cant get anything done to help out just act like a good old boy but beware he has been there a long time and together the will work you my truck has been damaged and they would not pay for those repairs. Property was stolen they would not replace any windshield on my crane was broken by them they would not replace. My straps were stolen they would not authorize reimbursement. What a bunch of crabs I guess they want to go to court I don't but they do! So just like I gave 8000.00 dollars to them I will give to the next guy on the food chain they have lied to us and don't know what they are doing! I assume because it took 2 months to fix my crane.

Inability to perform adequate service to vehicles
Ford is unable to Service what they Sell. Other than oil changes, Ford authorized Service locations (Dealers) in the Milwaukee metropolitan area are inept in locating and repairing vehicle problems. If you own a Ford, here's my question to you - How many times have you heard the service "Guy" say "could not duplicate"... alittle frustrating hey !
I, after being smart enough to stay away from Fords for 30 years, b ought a top of the line F-150. At almost $50, 000 it has become what I feared - an undependable P.O.S. The old "Fix Or Repair Daily" still stands true after 30 years.
Ford should be allowed to collapse as a company - Once a vehicle is sold ALL THAT MATTERS IS SERVICE. If you can't do this, get the hell out of the business. At a great loss (Fords depreciate horribly) I feel forced to trade this garbage in for a reliable vehicle with a competent service department - Who's vehicle that is I do not know but I suspect after research it will be a foreign make - Way to go America - why can't you be competetive.
Bottom Line - Life is stressful enough - do yourself a hugh favor - avoid added hassles by avoiding the Ford Motor Company - if not you may wish you had... Buyer Beware !!!

Ford brake cylinder
Due to the fact Ford decided to allow the Master cylinder to feed both the front and rear brakes, I lost my brakes when my rear cylinder went. My daughter was in the car with me, and the pedal went to the floor. Luckily. I went through our street into the neighbour's front yard and no-one was killed.
I crimped the line to take it to the garage, and my front spring on the passenger side broke and took out my tire. It was a recall item until 2002. I have a 2003. Don't bail these bastards out, they design cars to fail for the money, and are unsafe.F9fixed)O(or)R(repaired)D(daily).I think the Japs make their money selling Quality, not repairable JUNK.

FUEL MILEAGE
I bought a 2008 F-250. This is the poorest performance vehicle I have ever owned. I have taken it to 2 different ford dealerships about the fuel mileage which is only 13 miles to the gallon. I was told there was nothing they could do, that I ought to feel honored to get that much. That's bull____. I have never owned anything but a Ford, but I would never purchase another one or drive one if it was given to me. The Ford Dealer's tell me it's just the 6.4 engine, if that's the case, it must not can be perfected. I would never recommend anyone to purchase a Ford Vehicle. All you get is a bunch of run around and no help. I paid a fortune for this truck and can't even afford to take a trip in it.
THANKS FOR NOTHING Dolores Winkle

Blown spark plug
I have experienced the Blown Spark Plug problem with Fords Triton 5.4 liter engine for a second time. My 2003 Ford Expedition blew the #3 spark plug on November 15, 2008. I am the original owner of this vehicle. The original engine was replaced August 22, 2006 with 86k miles because of the same problem at a cost to me of $5, 400. This engine has 53k miles and was installed by Koons Ford of Annapolis. Although Ford accepts no responsibility for this failure, the dealer assured me that Fords redesigned V8 engine had resolved this issue. I have been a loyal Ford customer purchasing 12 Ford vehicles over the past 32 years. It is time for the Ford Motor Company to take ownership of this problem and at least take care of their customers that have experienced this defect.

engine problems
To whom it may concern:
I lease a Mercury Milan from Avis Ford at 29200 Telegraph Rd. Southfield, Mi. 48037. In 2007 of April, my car was making a strange noise, so I took in to the Avis Ford service. I was informed that had an engine knock. The service consultant name john Richardson informed me that FORD MOTOR COMPANY would not cover the charges for the repairs. The vehicle only has 11, 227 miles on it and had the oil changes throughout the time I have had it. I feel that because I am a young African American woman. They are trying to take advantage of me.

Fusion Battery Terminal Corrosion
My 2006 Fusion had 37, 000 miles on it (36, 000 was warranty) when it left me sitting. The battery terminal had corroded in half, the battery post was damaged, and a jumper wire was also corroded. I had been religious about having the car serviced (I was travelling for cancer treatments and needed something dependable) and had it in for a final once over and oil change at 35, 900 mi. The car was only 2 yrs. old !! There is no way that the terminal should have caused all of that damage !! Our dealership couldn't do anything since it was out of warranty, but they did say they would give us back a percentage of the cost - don't know what percent. It's cost me over $400 so far and the jumper wire is well over another $450. Ford won't do anything. There was a new Mercury in for the same thing when we had my car there. Too coincidental. I've written their customer complaint dept. for months - they just send back form letters saying there is nothing they can do. We have been a Ford family all of our lives - but no more.
