Fritz Hobaugh Carpentry has been proudly serving the Allentown area for over twenty years. We have a solid client base built from listening and acting on clients interests. Our goal is to bring quality and durability with the integrity of the design though our skill and insight of each job.



From complete remodeling to wood refacing, our skilled cabinet shop, provides period details for each specific job. We start and finish one job at a time with a pleasant and professional approach.

About Us


Fritz Hobaugh started in 1988 as a trim carpenter working with wood and plastic refacing. The company he started now, furnishes custom kitchens of the highest quality.



We also are involved with all phases of home improvement needs for our customers. Almost all customers are referals and repeat clients.


All investments in a home should bring pleasure and comfort as well as a return when selling a home. We take very good care in choosing the best materials. We also choose to use the best interior designers, plumbing and elecrtical sub contractors, to provide the most enjoyable and cost effective return for your money.

Solid cherry cabinetry with Ubatuba granite.We removed a load bearing wall and added a LVL beam wrapped in cherry. New select oak hardwood floors throughout the entire first floor.We added a tumbled marble back splash.

The addition of Runtal Radiator to heat entire space replacing several large cast iron radiators.A new center island sink (custom maple cabinets) extended the counter space. Each cabinet is a different height and depth. Solid maple octagonal post supports the breakfast table. All counter tops have a solid maple edge with an epoxy coating. All new Sea Gull lighting completes the ambiance of the remodel.

Solid oak rail and style construction with out vertical slats. Foil bubble insulation behind and on top of radiator creates convective draft and protects wood top from warpage.

Birch plywood construction and poplar doors were used for maximum strength and stability.The fine grain provides the best sub straight for paint adhesion and smooth coverage.These units are designed for best use of storage and artistic display. This solid oak registration desk is a custom build for Trinity Lutheran Church, Kutztown, PA. It includes a locking top.

This kitchen was originally refaced in 1974 with Formica. We customized and added new new cabinets and laminated to match existing. Adding new wood doors created a wonderful country feel and warmth with personalized function.

We refaced and modified contractor grade cabinets to the wishes of customer. The addition of glass doors in the peninsula, opened while still maintaining a division between kitchen and dining room. We replaced stock drawers with maple dove tail drawers for superior strength and durability.

This custom oak bar was milled from raw slabs of oak into flawless custom sized raised panels. A Chicago bar rail and brass foot rail complete the front the bar. All of the utilities are run through oak column housing a steel support post.With a refrigerator ,sink,lighting and organized storage, this bar is ready to help host many great parties.

D-Select cedar was a cost effective alternative to redwood for a rot and insect resistance in this decks' construction. Getting away from pressure treated southern yellow pine and plastics, now we offer thermally modified ash, poplar and yellow pine as a cost effective alternative to all synthetic products for rot proof insect resistant for long lasting warmth and beauty with minimal maintenance.

Kraft-Maid cabinets have provided a semi custom cabinet to meet the needs of customers when custom cabinets are not necessary. a All custom kitchens are priced on the basis of semi custom Kraft-Maid units. New hardwood flooring was installed to match the existing hardwood floors in the house.

Repairing the steps and landing of the old house with Dal-Tile (flash quarry tile) was the answer to indoor outdoor carpeting. Digging deep to repair degraded concrete and adding modern materials to set new and some old tile, we have given another 80 years of life to a wonderful old design.

D-Select cedar is used for its beauty as well as its function we provide products based on the need of the customer.A natural clear finish sealed this custom designed ramp. This ramp was later disassembled,and was used in building a custom fence.
