DO NOT BUY GE APPLIANCES!!! We purchased a GE dryer. At 6 months it began ripping our clothes. We have had it repaired for the same problem approx. every 6 months since then. The latest repairs are as follows: July, September and November. This is for the same exact problem every time! I have tried to email GE, but I have absolutely no reply. (And they boast of integrity on their website, that is laughable!) When calling I get the same "script" reply. "I am sorry ma'am, that must be very frusterating, but there is absolutely nothing we can do for you!" We had to purchase the extended warrenty just to own this piece of junk! (The repairs can cost anywhere from $400-$600 each time we need repairs!) As we are now needing repairs every 2 months, we have saved a bundle! The only thing that has ever been offered was a $25.00 check to wash 9 peoples clothes at the laundry mat. And of course this is a "one time only" offer. SERIOUSLY!!! How about replacing this awful product for one your customer can actually boast about to other people!!! I have started saving all the many damaged clothes to send to the CEO of the company, maybe he can use them for his children, or purhaps to dust his office! How frusterating this experience has been.
