1 1/2 years ago I purchased a matching GE Profile washer and dryer because in the last 40 years I've had two GE washers that worked really well. The Profiles are a disaster. The computers on both washer and dryer don't work. If you set the dryer on permanent press it dries for 3 minutes and cuts off. The clothes are sopping wet. I've had the console replaced twice and the whole dryer replaced once. The repairman told me that I'd purchased a completely defective product and he could do nothing more. We told Lowe's and all they would do is tell us to call the repair service (they are independent of Lowe's). I'm stuck with it.
The washer has one cycle for everything no matter what setting you use. It beats the handwashables to death just like you are washing sheets. It has no lint filter at all so your clothes come out covered in lint. It has no small water capacity even when you set it small - you still get a full tub of water. The company will do nothing about any of the problems. Avoid these products at all costs.
