remote programming
We purchased a home entertainment center in December 07 from Best Buy, we used (by their recommendation, Geek Squad for the installation. When everything was set up, we also purchased a Harmony remote, it has never worked, it has needed reprogramming every few months. I called in July to have it reprogrammed, took a day off from work and they (Geek Squad) never showed up, never called. I called again 2 weeks ago and set up another appointment. It was scheduled for tomorrow between 8-12 noon. I came home from work at 2:00 today, with a message from their dispatch, requesting a 99.00 prepay for the service call. I have been on the phone for 3.5 hours, bounced around, disconnected numerous times, only to be told that Samuel the district manager canceled our appt since they had already been to our home 9xs, and all problems were because we used the wrong button. The remote has never worked properly, with in a week, first the dish quits working, then the surround sound, then the dvd player... the only thing that works is the sound... When you press activities, TV. Everything should turn on. That is the biggest bunch of crap. Their stinking remote is garbage, the service stinks and I would like a refund. I will never again purchase anything from Best Buy or utilize any of Geek Squads services again. All I want is our refund for the garbage Geek Squad sold us, approximately $220.00. Using the other 45 remotes to operate the system is preferable to dealing with such a horrible company.
