My ex-husband, opened up a NEW account with JC Penney after our divorce. We were divorced 11/5/04 and the account was opened 12/04. Previously in our marriage, we had had a joint JC Penney account. This was a NEW account, with a NEW account number. My ex husband has never disputed that he opened this account for himself ONLY. He was sent ONLY one card with his name on it and it was sent to his address only. He filed bankruptcy in Oct. of 2005 and the charges were discharged. This account is still coming up on MY credit report with the status of "At least 120 or more than 4 payments past due".
