Our 4 year old Genie Pro opener has occasional phantom openings. When it happens neither the remote or the wall control will lower the door. The circuit breaker must be turned off and back on. Today for the first time I was able to observe the opening. The lights in the house flickered off/on one time and the door went up. I have whole house surge surpression on the electric service at the meter and a plug in surge device at the opener outlet.
