Online scam
I ordered 150 golf bag watches from GettingToPar.com with the logo of our tournament imprinted on the gift boxes and paid for them at the time of order with a credit card.
I received a phone call from Bob Johnson of GettingToPar telling me that the company was unable to print the logo on the watch boxes and a refund of $822.81 would be credited to my card. I received an e-mail from Mr. Johnson on August 15th stating that they will issue a credit for $822.81.
After nothing appeared on my account I contacted Mr. Johnson again and was assured on September 6 via e-mail 'that the credit should show up in the next few business days.' Having not seen the refund, I e-mailed them again on September 18 inquiring about the status of the refund and they have not responded.
I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau which sent Mr. Johnson two letters. They did not receive a response to either letter. I currently have a complaint on file with the Oregon State Attorney Generals office. So far it doesn't appear that they have had any more success than the Better Business Bureau.
