Global cars accepted a booking from us in October 2005 for a car rental on 23rd December 2005. They debited our bank account on 20th October 2005 With $964.00CAD. 2 days before the rental agreement started we had an email saying that they no longer worked with Thrifty (they were actually sourcing the 7 seater) and therefore no car would be available for us.

2 months on and we are still waiting for our refund. We were taking our kids to stay with family in Canada for a white Christmas and a car was not a luxury item but an integral part of the trip. At the 11th hour we found a 5 seater car available and the trip went ahead, but 3 adults, 2 kids and 5 full suitcases in a Toyota sebring was not enjoyable.
