I understand many companies charge a service charge, processing fee or transaction fee for use of their service...within reason! This company, really sticks it to its customers & families at home. It's not bad enough the families are suffering the loss of income with their family member absent from the home, struggling to cover daily living expenses...Global takes a fee of $4.75 from the $25.00 pre-paid calling option leaving you $20.25. How much time or minutes does that get you? I've yet to find this out. And even worse...you would think the better buy would be the $50.00 pre-paid option...getting more talk time for your money. Wrong!!! They DOUBLE the transaction fee to $9.50. This is unreasonable!! I asked myself why? Are there twice as many keystrokes, papers or procedures to complete to process a higher payment? I think not. Finally, my husband called earlier today. We talked for 1.14 minutes. The cost was $3.46. Just what are the per minute and/or call rates?
