My husband and I bought a timeshare for week 27 at Ocean Beach Club in 2004 and have only been allowed to use it once which was in 2005. Through these very difficult economic times we have had chronic delinquencies since 2006 when my husband lost his job. Although we have been late with other accounts: mortgages, car notes, etc.. we still have had use of whatever was purchased i.e. home, car etc with payment of late fee, added interest, etc.. Gold Key has automatically foreclosed on our deeded week multiple times without due process, They almost destroyed my sons plans for his honeymoon last year when they would not release the week which I deposited to Interval International for exchange that I had given to him as a wedding gift. They rented my week which included July 4th and made over $300 per night and were too mean to deposit my week with Interval as I had requested based on some technicality which I still do not understand. From what I am reading from these others who are complaining we are not the only ones who have been treated unjustly by Gold Key Resorts. I have paid them over $28, 000 and have only gotten 1 vacation which was only a half of a week in 2005 for all of that money. I know that we have had a lot of late payments but so have I had with my home and other mortgages, but I have still gotten to use the property. Not so with Gold Key.
