I moved to North Carolina about 5 months ago. I noticed that I was still getting charged for my Gold's Gym membership so I called the gym and canceled. Or so I thought. I got a call last night from ABC Financial so I decided to call today. They tell me that I owe for the past 3 months after I closed out my bank account and that I might be charged for an additional 60 days(2 more months of membership fees). I told them that I moved 5 months ago and have not used the service that I am being charged for for the past 3 months. They said tough and that I have to pay for those 3 months as well as a 60 days cancellation period after they receive a notice. I am angry about the 3 months already because I thought I had canceled, but the fact I could get charged for another 2 months just because it apparently takes that long to cancel is ridiculous.
