A charge of $8.43 appeared on my Verizon service under the category of Operator Assist Network - Miscellaneous Charges and Credits for GREENTREE DATA SETUP. When I phoned Verizon customer service, was told they could not see the charge and told me to call the Operator Asst Network number for questions (800-944-9646); this number transferred me to a Green Tree Data customer service rep who said he would cancel service and would issue a refund. I told him I had not paid the fee and would subtract it from my Verizon bill. He said I needed to pay the bill ... but could not give me a logical reason. Very Suspicious! Others take warning.
