3 Years Ago I built a home with Ryan Homes. During the process I was handed around 30 pieces of paper which required my signerature.

One of these was for Guardian Secrity. What I was not told was that I was signing a 5 Year Contract for Security Monitoring.

Did I ask how long it was no... when I was handed the piece of paper I was just told it was for security monitoring... that's all...

I had a carrer switch and sold my home a year later. At the time I was not aware I signed a 5 year contract for Security and assumed that when I moved that would be Null and Void. When I saw that I was charged for Security I called Guardian and thats when they dropped the bomb about a 5 year Contract and the only way to get out of it was too Transfer it to the new owners. When I told them the Rep. did not tell me it was a contract let alone how long it was for they said.. "That's why you should always read the fine print". Since the new owners were not interested I am stuck in a 5 year aggreement. The chain of command is NOT helpful what-so-ever. After many heated phone calls they decided to cut a deal in which they said they were proud of .

The deal was 5% off for next 3 and half years. Don't do me any favors!

I am still battling with them. Be careful with these guys!!!
