My boyfriend and I are currently living in our own apartment, and enrolled full time in college. We went to Monro to get our 2002 Hyundai Elantra 2 new headlight bulbs. We both thought it couldn't be too expensive, considering the price of bulbs, and the amount of labor needed to put them in. Plus, when I got a headlight fixed at Walmart about a year before, it was around $15.00.Well, when my boyfriend called and scheduled the appointment, he let the mechanic Mike know the car make and model, along with the service needed. He couldn't give us an exact price for the job because according to him, there are many bulbs that a 2002 Elantra uses. He insisted we pay for the service once it was completed. We took the car in, and 1.5 hours later it was ready. The total price was $100.00 for 2 bulbs!!! The inquiry said 2 h7 bulbs for $47.99 a piece! No labor was listed as a charge. I looked on the internet for the price of an h7 bulb, and I found the average price to be $10.00. When I called back the next day, I explained to Mike what they did to me. He said that they charge $80.00 an hour for labor and that was included in the price of the bulb. WOW! They will NEVER get my business again. Must be pretty strenuous to put 2 headlight bulbs in. Places like this need to be held accountable for their actions. DO NOT GO TO MONRO! MORE SPECIFICALLY, DO NOT GO TO THE ONE ON PARK RD. They are snakes and very manipulative!
