I went in shopping for a Tacoma Truck. Given the economy I thought I would have some negotiating leverage as a cash buyer with check in hand. I was greeted by one of the cliche sales guys and told him what I was looking for. After a test drive I asked him to work the numbers and he said the MSRP was $26150. After I asked if he could give me any discount from STICKER he said he needs to make money and that he would sell the truck at some time to someone else. I left and went to DCH Toyota at Simi Valley where they sold me the same truck for $500 below invoice at $23500. In this market negotiate off INVOICE and dont deal with scum sales people like the ones at Hamer Toyota.
