My husband received a collection agency bill in the mail from RMCB, Inc. (Retrieval-Masters Creditors Bureau, Inc.) from Elmsford, NY. It stated that they were collecting on an unpaid bill of $24 for Handy Magazine.
I called and talked to a Jareld who believed me when I told him that we never took the magazine nor subscribed to it at any time in our lives. I went online and found all these complaints and I would like to add ours to it.
It is ridiculous that people have to take their time to respond to this type of scam. I don't know who runs the magazine but it should be investigated as harrassment and an illegal operation.
I took care of this issue today, 9-7-10. And I hope it is truly taken care of as the representative at RMCB told me.
