U4GM Why Laevatain melts mobs with Heat stacks in Endfield
Laevatain's the kind of pull that feels like a jackpot, then immediately asks you to do homework. If you're browsing Arknights endfield boosting guides because her numbers look wild on paper, you'll quickly learn why she doesn't play like a "drop her and chill" striker. Her damage lives and dies by Melting Flame stacks, and the game won't babysit you. You've got to read the field, let Heat Infliction happen, then cash those stacks in at the right moment, not whenever your fingers get twitchy.

Melting Flame timing
Think of Melting Flame as a little savings account. Enemies with Heat Infliction feed her stacks, up to four, and that cap matters more than most people expect. A common mistake is firing her Battle Skill as soon as it lights up, which feels good but wastes the big payoff. Hold it. Let the stacks hit four, then spend them with an empowered Battle or Combo Skill so you actually get the burst and the Combustion trigger. When you do it right, the AoE pop isn't just damage; it also smooths out her Ultimate uptime because you're not bleeding value between cycles.

Weapons that actually fit
Laevatain has options, but there's a reason most endgame builds converge on Forgeborn Scathe. The Intellect and Attack are fine, sure, but the real value is how it leans into Heat damage and then spikes her Basic Attacks after she's ulted. That's her whole loop: build stacks, detonate, flip the Ultimate, and keep pressure with boosted basics while everything's burning. If you're stuck with Umbral Torch or White Night Nova, they'll get you through story and early farming, but you'll feel the drop-off the moment fights stop being forgiving.

Gear and the team glue
On gear, Mordvolt Insulation is a decent early crutch since it props up Intellect without asking too much. Later, Hot Work is where she starts feeling "complete" because the Heat DMG bonus scales directly into the stuff she's already trying to do. People do chase Ultimate Gain Efficiency, but it often turns into a weird spiral where you ult more and still hit softer. It's usually cleaner to let your squad cover the meter problem. The most comfortable core is 1) Laevatain, 2) Wulfgard to keep Heat application constant, 3) Akekuri as an SP battery, and 4) Ardelia for healing plus Corrosion to help chain interactions. If you know the fight and don't need the safety net, Antal in that fourth slot can shred resistances and make her bursts uglier in the best way.

Playing her without wasting windows
Once you've got the rhythm, it's less "combo spreadsheet" and more muscle memory: keep Heat rolling, wait for four stacks, spend them hard, then ride the Ultimate window with boosted basics and quick skill cycling. You'll notice waves just vanish when enemies clump, and bosses start losing chunks whenever you line up Combustion with team debuffs. And if you're trying to speed up gearing, grab missing mats, or just keep progression moving when time's tight, U4GM is a handy place to pick up game currency and services without derailing your build plan.Welcome to U4GM—your Endfield pit stop for builds that actually work. If Laevatain's your DPS, we'll help you keep Melting Flame stacks capped, keep Heat Infliction ticking, and line up her Ultimate for nasty AoE clears. Chasing Forgeborn Scathe, Hot Work gear, or the right Heat partners? https://www.u4gm.com/arknights-endfield/boosting helps you stay on pace without the grind taking over your week.
