I received the unit as a gift. When I called in to report that, after only a couple months' use, there is significant oil leakage from under the blade assembly, I was told that I have to contact the person who gave me the blender as a gift and find out where it was purchased. If it was an online purchase, I need to have the order number, in order to get customer service. This is cumbersome and not at all customer friendly. I should be able to get customer serivce by providing the model and serial number. I'm ready to trash this unit and buy something from a company that is willing to provide customer serivce that lives up the advertising hype.
