Just learned a very dissatisfying piece of information about Hilton Reward Stays. I tried booking a Falls view room for the Embassy Suites near Niagra Falls for my in-laws. They are joing some friends there later this summer and the friends have booked their rooms through Expedia. Well not only can I not book the Reward stay in a room with a view of the falls I also can not get a room on the higher floors with their friends. You see Hilton Diamond members "their most elite clients who are typically business travelers not looking for the best deal" have to stay on floors 10 - 15 while expedia customers "avergage joe looking for the best bargain" have preferred choice of floors 16 - 19.

Soooo it makes it pretty easy for me to make my new preferred chain of choice Marriott or Hyatt.

It really stinks that Hilton cannot carve out a few select rooms for their preferred customers when they are willing to book three months in advance.
