Past due charge
I purchased a $14 item from Home Depot and they convinced me that I should sign up for one of their credit cards. I never received a bill from them and forgot about it. Some months later I received notice that I owed them $80 for a past due account! I paid the $80 charge. I recently recived notice from Experian and Equifax that I had another past due charge of $53. I called Home Depot and they said it was a mistake and they would cancel the charge. I want this removed from my credit record. I would also like if possible to get a credit from Home Depot for $64-the difference between the item I purchased and the penalty they charged me. James Roberts

Terrible Integrity
Bought 2 solar lights ($42) both defective in 2 months, Home Depot would not replace or refund, would only give me a 10% discount if I bought more. Just Stupid attitudes. They could care less about thier customers !

lost shipment of flooring
I ordered up over 2000.00 worth of laminate flooring (higher end Pergo) on May 14th, and was told it was a special order, and that it would be in within 7-10 days. I started calling on day 10, and was given a later date (5/29). On June 1, I called, and was told June 6. On June 9, they called me to tell me that my flooring had been sent to a different state (like 2000 miles away) but that they would rush order it. Today, June 13th, I finally took delivery. Now I am chasing the HD installer. When I called the store, it was like it was the first time they had ever heard of me. In the meantime, people from whom I ordered furniture for that room are hounding me to deliver-I never thought it would take 6 weeks to get one room done. My house needs lots of stuff-granite counters, new sinks, lots of wall to wall, tile, but it will be a cold day when I use Home Depot again. They'll be lucky to sell me a light bulb in the future.

pricing practices roofing and siding
I am aware of some practices employed by Home Depot used in pricing roofing and siding jobs. To me it appears that customers are sometimes paying for things they are not receiving. If other employees feel the same let's compare notes. I am not certain of this but I would like to look into it further.

Will not stand behind there work
I purchased new Maytag appliances from Home Depot. THey had Linn Star Transfer install. A week later my entire floor and ceiling is damaged due to a broken dump hose. Maytag claims Linn Star did it, Linn Star states it was defective when they installed and Home Depot does not care. I have filed all there paperwork, twice! 8 months later they willl not return calls!
Home Depot is an absolute piece of shit! Not one more penny will be spent in that shit hole!

refused payment
citi bank controls home depots credit
nothing but trouble
tried to make payment they refused because i refused to give them social security #
i informed them that it was not legal for them to demand my number to make a payment or for any other reason.
they refused to accept that sooooo.
as my lawyer told me i have no payments to make.
thanks for the free 3000 of appliances. home depote.
it seems that if they refuse payment all you have to do is record and document they refused the payment.
stands up in court every time.
and they get it again if they "citi bank, citicorp" what ever they call themselves, try to put it on your credit report.

Service anyone
On May 16, 2011 I went to Home Depot to buy 3 toilets which would come to a total of about $1000.00 with tax. When I informed the clerk that I wanted 3 toilets (Kohler - Sta Rosa) he was not at all enthusiastic. Then he found out that the store only had 2 toilets and one was the display which he said he could not sell the display. When I inquired which other stores had 3 toilets he pointed me to Woodland Hills (WH) which is about 30 miles away. Since WH Home Depot only has 3 toilets he said they may not sell me all three because one would be the display also. If they give the display then they can not show (display) a product that they do not have in stock. He also informed me that the store will not transfer the toilet to them since the WH store will not get credit for the sales. Then he proceeds on to tell me that they will charge $70 delivery service for each toilet. This Home Depot helper was just doing about everything in his hands not to sell me the product. I could not beleive it. I ended up buying the toilets on line at Home Depot. Am now awaiting for the delivery, so far they already gave me a delivery date that is over the days stated on the website. I think the toilets are coming from the moon. The tracking service of the delivery company (non-stop) does not state where the items are. This is so frustrating.

Military Veterans Discount
Home depot has decided to not give a discount to all military veterans. All veterans will get a discount on Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, and Veterans Day. Only retired, disabled, and active military members will be able to get a discount anytime. I think it is a dishonor for Home Depot to not recognize all the Veterans that served a short period of time to protect the freedom we have. Lowes will honor all Veterans anytime and so my business will be there from now on. I hope all Veterans will recognize this serious decision Home Depot has made during this time of war and the need to support and recognize all military personnel.

Poor service and poor quality of merchandise
Today, my husband purchased some nice new doors for my laundry area, or so we thought. When he opened the box to take the doors and materials out, he was appauled. One of the frames for the door was bent, he was going to fix it but decided he shouldn't have to be correcting brand new merchandise. As if this wasn't enough, he took one of the doors out of the box and there was a huge scratch right in the middle of the door as well as small scratches on the side of it. This is not the first time we have had this experience with Home Depot's merchandise. We had decided to give them another try, big mistake!! We are still shaking our heads about the way they installed our carpet too. When we came home from work, to see what they had done, we
found all our air vents carpeted and a huge mess left by the installers laying in the middle of the carpet. I am a business owner myself and I would never treat my clients the way Home Depot has treated us. I certainly don't see Home Depot staying in business if they continue follow their current business practices. In this time of economic problems for families, I can't believe that a business would add additional stress to a family and expect no recourse. Rick and Shirley
Honorably Discharged Veteran April 15, 2011
No Longer Honoring Military Discount
I find it most insulting, disappointing and unpatriotic that beginning in April, 2011, Home Depot has stopped honoring all military veterans with a 10% discount and are now only honoring the disabled veterans with same. Because one was shot during service does not make them a better veteran than those who dodged the bullets! All veterans should be honored or none at all. At present, Lowe's is continuing to honor ALL those who served our country with a 10% discount. Good bye Home Depot, hello Lowe's.
