Do not honor their warranties
We ordered a Sportsmans 4000 Generater from Home Depot on-line in May, 2009, to power our camper. The weekend after receiving the generater we took it out camping and it ran fine and supplied more than enough electrical power. Three weeks later we took it along on our next camping trip. It started and ran for approximately 3 hours. It began coughing and sputtering and suddenly stopped running. We tried for about an hour to get it started again, checking the oil, fuel, connections, etc. and could not find any problems. Several hours later we again attempted to start it and it started up right away. We went into the camper and switched on a light and no power. We plugged in a work light and nothing. We finished our weekend trip with no power. We contacted Home Depot and they informed us that we would have to contact the online people, which we did. They told us there was a 30 day warranty and we were several days over that and they would not honor any warranties. They took another week to come up with their "NO EXCEPTIONS" decision. They told us to contact the manufacturer, Buffalo Tools. We contacted Biffalo Tools and spoke with a man who said he was sure he knew what the problem was and would send the parts right away. We waited another 10 days with no parts showing up. We again contacted Buffalo Tools and spoke with a young lady. After another week of sending information back anf forth, she said her technician was sending the part they felt was the problem. Another 7 days and the part showed up, and of course it was for a different generator. We called again, spoke to another man and he said he would send the parts he was sure would solve the problem. Another 7 days and the parts finally arrived. They were installed and did not solve the problem. Buffalo Tools was called again and they sent a Return Authorization. We took the return authorization to our local Home Depot and of course they would not honor it. We are now waiting for the on-line division to make a decision as to what they are going to do. So now the warranty from the manufacturer has expired and there is still no resolution. Tjis is not the first time we have had problems with Home Depot and their attitude is "oh well". We live in Elko, Nevada.

Customer Service
Today I visited the Home Depot in Corona Store #6665. I had over $300.00 worth of Inground Sprinkler merchandise in my cart. I went back to gardening and was interested in some pavers for my backyard project -- I need about 1800 units and about 50 units of another type of paver -- value over $500.00 I tried talking to the person who claimed to be the store Manager Joseph Mcaqs -- I tried several different ways to explain to him that I wanted to look into ordering the pavers from their store. He was extremely arrogant and basically really didn't care what I wanted. He told me what the process was and how many people I needed to talk to and was not interested in assisting me. He made it very clear if I wanted them I had to come into the store between 8 AM and 5 PM to go to the job desk -- I tried several times to explain to this arrogant idiot that like the average person I worked at a real job from 8 - 5 and was not able to come in -- he made it clear that if I wanted them I would have to come in when it was convenient for the store not me. So I walked out -- told him I no longer wanted the merchandise in the cart and vowed never to return to Home Depot -- trying to do business with Home Depot is a nightmare. Over $1000.000 worth of business walked out of that store that day. I guess HD really doesn’t care about its potential customers – they are too busy running them off.

No more shopping at Home Depot for me and my family
The Nashville Gay Pride website notes that Home Depot contributed more than $5, 000 to help finance the 2009 festival. The retailer also participated by conducting children's craft workshops at a special booth set up for them. The company has sponsored similar children's venues at pro-homosexual events in Atlanta, Kansas City, Durham, Portland, and San Diego.NO MORE SHOPPING AT HOME DEPOT FOR ME AND MY FAMILY...

harrasment
The dhr Miranda Wilmot does her investigations (witch-hunt) anyway she pleases. She is never held accountable no matter how many complaints are filed against her (which are many)!! Or it might be that Home Depot has no real process on how their employees are questioned when any allegations are filed against them!! Makes you question all their core values mainly the one that state "taking care of you're people'' . Miranda makes that statement false by not being impartial when asking you any questions. Associates at the Holland Tunnel Home Depot need outside help!!! (unless they are friendly with Miranda of course)!!!

Treat their customers like dirt
Purchased a washer, dryer and refrigerator from Home Depot in Pinecrest, FL..what a terrible experience is has been. They attempted to deliver it to an incorrect address and then told us they couldn't deliver it to us for another week. We had already disconnected our refrigerator and I need one to keep my medication under refrigeration. It did not bother one person from the Store Manager Donald, to the Home Office Complaint Dept., Daniel. The delivery company was totally indignant. My items today were delivered by the "Keystone Cops". That is a story in itself--it has been a total fiasco. Once customers purchase items from Home Depot, Home Depot no longer is concerned about their customers--now I know why Home Depot is in financial difficulties--by treating their customers the way they do, it has finally caught up to them. Lowe's here I come!!!

Never could I ever see myself going into another home depot
Home Depot Store in Matterson Il. While attempting to load my grill I had just purchased, the sell associate that was assisting me drop the grill. I asked for an exchange and while preparing to service me, by getting some wrap to prevent the item from being damaged another associate by the name of Lester, detain Brad as if I was stealing or asking him to help. how stupid could one be seeing I had purchased the item. He then attempted to ask me why I did not want the grill. I lost out seeing it was on sale a close to my home seeing I had rented their rental truck. Never could I ever see myself going into another home depot!

Bad customer service
The store located at
465 Centre Street, Quincy, MA 02169

The store manager of the Home depot store must have brain damage or have a pig head.

This store is located across from Quincy Adams subway station. The subway station itself has a parking garage, but during weekdays, it is very hard to find a parking spot inside the garage after 9:00am. So in this case, I had to park my car in the parking lot of the store. I thought since I always buy thing from Home Depot, I should be considered its customer, and that parking lot can park 1000 cars and only occupied by dozens, it would be no harm to Home Depot.

I WAS WRONG. After I backed after couple of hours, my car was towed. I was told that because I "left the property".
I was outrageous. I swear I will never buy anything from Home Depot again, since they don't consider me as one of their customer. What's wrong with those stores having restriction on their huge parking lot. Their action insulted their current and future customers. What's a bad PR.

Anyway, I can always go to Lowe's to buy things.
Go to hell, Home Depot

Check Acceptance
I wanted to pay by check at the Home Depot, but the cashier refused to accept my check. I've never been rejected by the Home Depot before, I wonder why they changed.

Awful business practices
Here's one for you. I picked out flooring based on a 7 - 10 day install window after measurements taken. Two months earlier I had measurements taken for the same project, but they couldn't find them.

About 10 days after signing the agreement, and 5 days after the measurement, I received a call saying the flooring I chose would not be available for 4 to 6 WEEKS. I said to cancel my order, as I was rushing to get the flooring installed and place the townhome for rent. The person said she would cancel it.

Over a month later I received a statement from CitiBank for the flooring. I was confused, so I called Citi first. They said to call store. Store was no help.

I called their corporate offices in Atl. The department I reached was helpful and contacted the store. The store said they tried to cancel the charge but couldn't reach me to get MY approval to credit my Citi/ Home Depot Card account. So the store said they would request and send a check so I could pay my Citi bill.

NO CHECK ARRIVED.

I kept in contact with corporate and they supposedly bantered back and forth with the store for a few weeks. According to corporate, the store requested ANOTHER check and mailed it.

NO CHECK ARRIVED.

Next, corporate said they would take care of it and faxed me a waiver to sign that would excuse Home Depot of any liability and would facilitate another check. AT THIS POINT, I am a LITTLE UNEASY signing over my rights. I would like corporate to sign the waiver/reimbursement agreement, so I can have a copy, before I sign.

As of now, I'm a little tired of it all. I just called CitiBank and contested the charge. The charge will now be reviewed a "judgement" passed in under 60 days.

Bottom line: don't trust Home Depot. 'nuff said.

Terrible carpet install
Recently we purchased carpet from Home depot; the 139.00 installation per house was the deciding factor after being told that the 139.00 installation would be of professional grade & no short cuts were to be used. I had only 3 bedrooms to be carpeted so I removed all the old carpet, all doors, floor vents and bi-fold closet doors.

I guess you get what you pay for? My first disappointing discovery while vacuuming the mess the installers left was that several wall sections lifted right up from the vacuum suction, it appeared that the carpet was never stretched out and secured properly to the floor that meets the walls in 2 out of 3 rooms. I also noticed that the installers made several deep cuts into my freshly painted base boards, After calling Anderson installations and being confirmed for a Thursday morning appointment I had to wait till 2:30 for a person to come out & properly install & secure my carpet, After they left I noticed that I had one extra floor vent & no hole in one room to place it in, my worst fears came true, "Yes" the installers carpeted over a floor vent opening, WOW want a poor job, what a disappointment! I called Anderson installation to see if anyone can come back that day to correct this concern and was left disappointed again, I can't keep taking days off to have these screw ups taken care of.

At this point I can't waste anymore of my time with this type of service; I will finish the install my self, I don't think the 139.00 install was any value at all? I had to take two days off work to accommodate installers and now a possible 3rd day to have floor vent cut out, I've lost more than 139.00 worth of time off work. I wish to receive a full refund on my installation fees.
