On July 2007, Homecomings Financial discriminated against an African-American applicant by using far different guidelines in a real estate transaction. Each time the applicant meet the criteria during the Mortgage lending process, they changed the standard. They also failed to conduct a proper check of employment. This company engaged in a stalling tactic of an African American female's homeloan and ultimately denied the applicant. Further, they failed to provide the applicant with a denial letter as required by FCRA law.
