I just wanted to get my submission of the exact situation I've read about here on this website.
I too ordered the trial pack paying only the shipping and handling. On the website it states, "we'll send you a 5-day supply of Hoodia Fushion with no strings attached."
However, like clockwork, they charged my debit Visa (which in turn bounced two checks due to overdraft on my checking account the card is linked to) $89.97.
I promptly emailed the customer service, email bounced back undeliverable.
Then I contacted the website technical email. Bounced back.
I then contacted my bank after discovering this site and seeing I was not alone.
Later I called the number on the Hoodia website and did speak to two people, Irene and an unknown "supervisor". They both claimed that the additional charge was detailed in the terms and agreement section of their website, which it is not, and that in taking on the trial pack I also "enrolled" in a program where regular shipments of their product will be billed to me and sent accordingly. There is no mention of that on the website.
My bank temporarily has refunded the amount and it is under investigation.
Hoodia tells me that I need to wait for the package to arrive and send it back.
I explained that on this site it was written that I will be charged for shipping, of which I refuse to do so, and that I would simply write "return to sender" on the package and hand it back in to my postal delivery person. Once they receive the package they will issue a refund. Supposedly.
So we'll see what happens. As it stands, I never even tried the sample packs and now all things considered, I'm afraid to given this outrageous handling of their "products."
Buyer beware.
