MY checking acoount/debit mastercard was charged $74.95 for a product I did not order. I tried to contact on internet and got a nonexistent site/unable to log on every time. I did finally get someone to answer one of the 800 #s and was told that even tho I had sent an email to them on 9-29-08 that their computer system had been "down" for over 2 months. When I asked to talk with a supervisor, none was available. This week I was sent another shipment of the product even tho I had sent the email cancelling . The person I talked with said that the system would be up on MOnday. I guess it never came back up because I got another shipment on Oct. 28. I intend to send it back registered /certified mail. In the meantime, my bank states that because the first charge of the handling only amt. of $6.95 was an authorized debit that now my only recourse is to close my checking account. I hate to do this because I have authorized debits from HSN and QVC, which have always been reputable companies to deal with. However, I cannot continue to be charged $74.95 each month with NO WAY to stop these product charges. Can you help?
