A software package (quickbooks pro 2011 for mac) was bought online from iaccounting whereby they guaranteed that it would be possible to import a quickbooks 2008 backup file and consequently continue working with the mac version.After repeated attempts at importing the file and calling Intuit in America who manufacture the software it became evident that no such conversion was possible.
Mr.Pierre Malan of iaccounting was contacted and a refund requested since the software could not be utilised.Mr Malan's response was that he had already registered the software in our name and therefore the American company would not reimburse him and consequently he was not going to reimburse us.
We find this unacceptable and even after threats to report this bad conduct there has still been no further response from Mr Malan
Please advise as to what recourse we have in this matter
