I have been purchasing my monthly electricity online from IBUY for a while now. My credit card has recently expired, and subsequently replaced. As a result, my credit card details need to be updated. IBUY does not update your credit card information online, via their security software. Instead they want you to fax them proof of residence, a copy of your ID and a copy of your credit card??? Doesnt this leave the door wide open for ID and credit card fraud? All the banks are warning their customers to not give out personal information like this. Why do they have the security software in place if they are bypassing all the safety features. Even more of a concern, is the man calling himself JOE, speaks with an AfricanFrench accent? How can we as consumers be assured of our security in such cases? IBUY cant seem to offer any assurance that your information is safe, other than saying, 'It's never happened before'. I don't want to be the first!!!
