My A/C unit needed to be replaced, after several proposals from A/C companies I decided to choose Iernas due to their price and proposed value. The day the company installed the A/C unit I was asked to sign off on the work done. When I inspected the work I noticed they had put in a standard thermostat ( I previously had a programable one). I mentioned that Tod (the salesman) stated I would be receiving a programable t-stat he said he would have to verify it. Tod had not written any thing on the 1st contract about a T stat, but we did speak of it. The service man called and spoke to Tod and after the conversation he wrote on my install contract that they would return to place a programable t-stat. I signed off and paid the first of 3 payments for the unit. A few days later when I spoke with Tod about my programable t-stat I was told they would NOT be installing it and if I wanted it it would cost $125.00. I stated that is not what we agreed to and I would not be paying another $125.00 for a thermostat when my old on was working just fine and I would like for them to at least give me back my old t-stat. He ( Tod) stated they did not have it( my old t-stat) and to call him when I decided to buy a new t-stat from them and they would come install it. My husband then called the service manager and was told the same thing. I then called Ron Ierna the owner of the company and he stated we got a really good deal and he was not going to, under any circumstances, going to replace or return the t stat but he would sell us a new one.

During the purchasing process I also purchased a 10 year parts and labor warranty and when I asked him ( Ron Ierna) when I would get any paper work on the warranty he stated I wont get it until the A/C is paid in full. My concern for that is once I pay in full I still wont have any warranty and they will have my $ 6300.00. this company has already gone back on their word once, I can only assume they will do it again when it comes to the warranty.
