Recently visited South Africa and hired a car from Imperial Car hire (Eurocar). I filled the car up at Durban airport before returning it. Received my tax invoice and found that I had been charged R84 for fuel???

I have tried contacting Imperial to explain, but have found the responses to be no help to me what so ever.

After I discussed this experience with a colleague, he told me the same thing happend to him with a car hired through Imperial at Lanseria. He was charged R69 for fuel and he also filled the car up before returning it.

Is it Imperial's policy to charge for fuel no matter what? I have learnt a valuable lesson and will certainly not be using them again.
