A "Mrs. Heyes" contacted me in reference to an item that I had for sale on Craigslist, she said that she was interested and would be sending a check. I thought a little weird, but ok. She stated that she was hearing impared and any contacts would be through email. I received another email from this person stating that the check was on the way but they had made a "mistake" and instead of the $400 asking price the check was being sent for $2850, and that once I received the check if I could just send the rest of the money back to her because it was for another sale. I replied and let the scammer know that I would be more than happy to get them their money, and they could come and pick it up at the Sheriff's Department where I work. needless to say I haven't heard anything else from them.
