My wife and I have a home loan with this company. Its a 30 fixed with tax and insurance taken out in an escrow accout. We have had the loan for several years. But in July we recieved a letter stating that our escrow was not taking enough out. So your escrow payment is going up. Completely understandable. Insureance went up and property taxes went up. So instead of $147 a month it went to $187. Not a big jump when the bill came in the mail the escrow payment was now $395. They say I have to pay this for the next year because there were shortages of what they paid out. I could understand this if my taxes and everything went up say $2000 but it did not. Now they will not help me at all. I asked for the escrow to be canceled and they said no. I had a 30 day late so they will not stop the escrow. Could not explain why. Then I asked how could I have a late when I pay the mortgage on the same day all the time. Ok we are struglling with this new payment so I asked to have a loan modification and they said no becuase I dont have enough lates. This is so unfair people that are doing the right thing are getting screwed and cant get ahead. All I want is a little help. We live on a budget and this hurts. Indymac is a discrase
