on my currant AT&T bill I was charged $29.90 by a company called OAN Services, Inc. Upon further invetigation, I discovered they are a 3rd party billing company for an outfit called Instant 411, Inc. There was a telephone number associated with that company (877-768-3661). When I called, I was informed that I had supposedly signed up for this service online. I disputed this. I was then told that I was sent a confirmation email. hey even told me the date and time that these supposed emails were sent (they told me I sent sent 2 such emails). I disputed this fact also. The person I was speaking to (first name of Bobby, last name of 0206) was adamant that I was responsible for the charges. I again told him that I didn't sign up for the services and wanted to be credited. He refused. I then asked what email address these confirmation emails were supposedly sent to. He gave me an email address that was very similar (but not the same) as mine. At that point he agreed to refund the money in 1 to 2 billing cycles. This really got me angry, as I didn't want to pay for something and then have to wait to get reimbursed. A call to AT&T resolved this problem, as they said they would remove the charges and block this company from ever being able to charge my account again.
