Fradulent Charges
This company is a fraud. Do not use them unless you enjoy being overcharged. I too purchased their service for $9.95 and was subsequently surpirsed when I saw a second charge on my account for $19.95. The charge was totally unauthorized. Now I have to go through the hassle of trying to resolve the issue. My advice to you is DO NOT USE INTELIUS.

Do not use them
Total Rip-Off...waste of hard-earned money...Their advertisement is very misleading. Do not use!

Said name and address of user was available but only gave me the name of the wireless server that this individual uses and the city and state that this user lives in.

No name and no address...but the supposed income and the supposed value of the house the person lives in.

I wanted to know who the person is who is calling me and hanging up. The other information does not interest me.

Don't make the same mistake I did! You will regret throwing away your money.

Fraud and scam!
I did an Email search on INTELIUS for $9.95. One month later I checked my credit card statement and there was the $9.95 charge from Intelius and another charge for $19.95 from PMIDENTITY (Privacy Maters) that is affiliated with Intelius and was not authorized by me. I called them both up and they basically told me I was screwed because I approved these which I did not.

****** I in turn called my credit card company and disputed both charges since I feel Intelius was not fair and got a credit for both of these charges. ******

They might give you a hard time but they will not argue with your credit card company or bank.

If you have this problem here are some numbers to complain.
Intelius : 1-888-445-2727
Privacy Matters : 1-888-840-6301
Call them up and give them a hard time!!!

Wrong info
I received a mysterious phone call from a woman telling me my name and wifes name found in a wallet and that she had my cell and home phone #. Both Correct. she asked if we knew a certain person. I asked who she was but she said her name was not important. Bells started going off. I went to do a reverse phone number on white pages came up as a land line. I made a mistake here went to Intelius the info they gave me was totally bogus. Card was charged the $4.95 . (Bank will reverse if you complain) . Still pending . I tried to get into my now viable Intelius account and they had no record of it. I sent an email no replay They promised two coupons of $5.00 a piece in email of course no email no coupons rebate coupons. Finally today I called talked to Mark 11 asked for a refund he refunded the charge readily enough saying the service did not in fact give me the requested info. Verizon said it was a land line Intelius reported it as a cell phone. While on hold I cam upon this site and read they were also charging for a identity theft protection service I had supposedly clicked on. I did not. $19.95 a month. He said it was explained in the email I never got Spam filtered mail was checked through nothing there either. Besides per the system I did not exist. Mark 11 the rep there advised me of this I told him I did not want this charge and would not pay it and dispute it should it come on my account. Mark 11 advised I would not be charged. So In this case they at least paid lip service as to the fact that the $4.95 charge would be refunded and I would not be charged the identity theft service I had not asked for.The hold time was only 30 minutes . He asked if I wanted to close the account I informed him as yes, then called my bank to let them know of the ordeal. Advise do not come to this Site. 1. Any site that puts charges on your account without your prior knowledge is not a mistake but theft. the information is usually old or bogus by his own admission it could be two years old or so or just wrong if the number had been a prepaid cell or a new cell number.2. No way to trace but they charge you anyway. 3 no email confirmation sent at all. 4. no way to verify my information on line. bottom Line STAY AWAY. Tehy were pleasant to speak with but smiled and spoke positively to me to inform me that I had signed up for a monthly identity theft program to be billed monthly. contact BBB, Contact states attorney generals office. May not do anything to them but will add to a data base of complaints against them.

They're a rip off
I signed up with Intelius to do a reverse phone lookup. It said the number was listed in their service, and for $4.95 I could read the information.

Once I put in my card information, I was automatically charged $9.90 and could not back out of the deal. When I tried, it automatically went into another service of theirs for identity theft protection. It took a lot of tries to back out of this page.

Then I got an email saying it would take 48 hours to get the phone # information. I called my bank, and they said I could file a claim against the company, but would have little chance of getting my money back.

Don't use Intelius! They're a rip off!

I paid for a service 3 days ago and have still not received my answer. It just tells me it is processing. If I do not get my phone number search will the charge be taken off.

Tenant screening scam!
I just paid $62.45 on a credit card for this company (Intelius) to do a tenant screening for me. What I got was screwed. They gave me 3 prior addresses, and told me the person had no record. What they didn't tell me was they weren't going to give me any credit information which is what I really wanted. I went to erenter.com and it opened to Intelius. What a rip-off! Do not use this company, the internet Complaint Board is full of other complaints on the same company.

Unauthorized billing!
Found a charge of $14.95 on my American Express card from this company. I have never even heard of them. When I called, they claimed that I had taken advantage of a 14 day trial offer and then it would be billed at $14.95 per month. Like I said, I have never heard of this company and I NEVER take advantage of ANY such trial offers. The lady that I spoke to when I called was very rude. I see a lot of reports on this company.

Overcharged!
I ordered a back ground check and paid with a credit card. Now they are using that card # to ad me to AP9-PMIDENTITY.COM-V. Beware people!

Online scam!
BEWARE OF SERVICES FROM Intelius. I registered with Intelius a few days ago and paid for one of their services. After 2 days, my Credit Card was billed by PMIdentity.CO. I was surprised how my Card info got to them. I immediately contacted PMIdentity (privacymattersidentity.com). They told Intelius passed the number to them!!! Then I contacted Intelius. They informed me that once I put in an email in their system (by the way, which is required for registration), they will pass my info to other companies.

Now I am really worried - to whom all have the passed my Credit Card info to. Beware of services for Intelius.
