Reviews
I have read these reviews and visited this company.
TM: First of all. Whoever mentioned VacationGift.net is misinformed. Its not even a website if anyone would care to check it out. I have.
William: When you attend their presentation you are given at least two opportunities to leave and not buy.
The first is when you go over a checklist and intitial a line that says if you think you will have buyers remorse then you may stop now with no hard feelings. The second opportunity is when you are presented the membership enrollment form and it states the cancellation fees in BOLD LETTERS.
If you choose not to read it or any other contract that you sign blindly then shame on you. Not them.
They have overhead for the hotel, sales team, marketing etc to put you into the presentation. Even the voucher they give you costs them money. So they dont make a profit when you call and cancel within the three days. It just covers their expenses.
Evan, As far as cancelling the meeting invite. You called a third party company that gets paid per person to put people in the presentation. You didnt call IVS. IVS. IVS cannot control third party companies no more than you can. You simply could have stayed at home. But I understand your wanting to call and cancel your invitation out of consideration. Its unusual in this day and age.
The voucher you receive at the presentation is good whether you purchase any program or not.
Just like winning the lottery you still have to pay the taxes and fees. Nothing is free. And its from a third party company. Not IVS.
All restrictions are clearly listed on the back of the voucher. Again, if you choose to use it, great, if not toss it and neither the presentation nor the voucher has cost you anything.
Annon: They do NOT get hundreds of calls a day. Much less that many that call to complain. And all calls are returned with hours. Any information to the contrary is purely bogus and made up. They handle their own calls. There is no other 'service' that works for them. So you really dont know anyone, do you.
I have seen this companys presentation and have read their contracts and seen their base of operation. They are reputable and solid. Most of what you read on the internet is written by those who are not members and like to complain about the trip voucher that they received. They cannot follow the instructions written in bold letters on the back of the voucher. Once their voucher is returned to them they go on the internet and scream scam and ripoff simply because it was them that could not read and follow directions.
IVS cordially helps both members and non-members resubmit their vouchers properly.
What Ive seen on the internet is the same 8-10 non-IVS members complaining about the above mentioned issues. They seem to post and re-post to get their message heard. Childish games to get their message heard. It looks like some people keep trying to get their 15 minutes of fame over and over. They really dont have any issues other than they like to complain about something that is really their fault in the first place.
