Intoxalock Reviews

Consumer Beware
Do not use this company. They rob you on their fees the have poor customer service - meaning their rep's give you the wrong information. Supervisors are just as bad they take 3 days to call you back which I've never heard of. Their shipments are always last minute and if you have bad weather and your shipment isn't received its your problem per a rep. You will be charged lock out fees and towing fees. Very poor service NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doen't do what it promises!
What this company does is sinful. This device locks me out for no reason. I turn my car on and off EXACTLY the way the company instructs me to and it locks me out. I have to pay a ransom of $82.00 to get Intoxalock to unlock it. When I call the company they just say that the device shows that my car key was in "the forward position before I turned on the device", which is total BS. I turn on the device and wait a good 20 secs before I even put my keys in my car. Then, when I turn off my car I wait the whole 2 mins to count down before I even get out of my car. The stupid device will ask for a rolling test even after the count down has expired when the keys are not even in the vehicle and no one is in the car. I mean WTF? How is one suppossed to be in compliance with this? I can't be in two places at once. This stuff happens for no reason all of the time which make me afraid to even drive my car since a drive to the store to get toilet paper could cost you over $82.00. But of course if I don't drive my car on a regular basis the device will drain my battery, which in turn will cause a lock-out. AHHHH! I can win with this thing. I'm damned if I do and I'm damned if I don't. Someone needs to put a stop to this evil company.

Hidden Fees
On Aug.30th 2010 an Intoxalock device was installed in my vehicle. Today is Dec.12th. Since the first day of installtion I have had 5 of the devices installed in my vehicle. I pay a leasing fee of $65 dollars each month and each time they send me a new device they expect me to pay aprox. $92.00 for the new device and not to mention a $15.00 sevice dollar fee to have it installed. Every three weeks this device calls for an automatic lockout service. Why do I have to have this device recalibrated when I have not been drinking! These hidden fees that fall on the innocent person that need this service so they can be in compliance with the program is being taken advantage of! I am curently on lockout because I refuse to send them $298.00 dollars before they send me a new device!!
