He cold called on my door on day. Told my my Ivy was going to be a problem. It has been there 10 years and i liked hit. He was rather insistent that it needed to come down, and I felt a little a sorry for him as I assumed he was finding it difficult to get work in the area. <br />

He came two days later. Quoted me £200 as he said some ivy had grown into the guttering and he'd need to use special chemicals to get it out or i'd have to pay to get the guttering re done. I agreed to let him trim it and get rid of and problematic parts. To me a job which couldn't take more than a couple of hours at the most.<br />

Four hours later I went out to see what was taking so long. What I saw made me nearly sick. He had taken nearly every leaf off the front of my house and it looked terrible. I started to cry, and he got very angry with me insisting it needed to come off and would grow back. Now it has stated to wither. My sons friend who is a tree surgeon told me he thinks what ever chemicals the man used may have killed it. I am so upset I can't even look at the front of my house.
