I moved a little over 2 1/2 years ago, and had to get a new phone #. A woman by the name of Jamie O'Hara has been giving out this number all over the place as if it is hers. The problem is she is obviously a real loser, as I have been getting phone calls for her from all sorts of collection agencies, and a sheriff's office called looking for her. I thought she must have had my nimber in the past and this would stop as I addressesed each call. However, after awhile the calls began again and it was apparent that she was currently using my phone number. Several calls were from a vet looking for her as she had dropped off & abandoned an abused puppy. They contacted the store where the puppy was purchased (it was chipped) and she had used my number when purchasing the puppy. She has also used my number at Welfare as they were calling about health insurance for her children and then later for her. Why anyone would give out a fake phone number to Welfare I can't begin to imagine. I am at my wits end. I don't know where to turn to file a complaint about her. She is not using my identity, just my phone number, and she is not the one making harassing phone calss so the phone company can't do anything. If anyone knows where I can turn I would greatly appreciate the help. She has even opened a CVS extra care account under my phone number, so my purchases get credited to her if I ask them to look up my account!
