Foolishly, I agreed to a Kirby demonstration by a door to door salesman from Kirby (Ray). After 2+ hours of demonstration, I told him, I was out of time and (8 PM) he needed to proceed with the shampooing. He called his boss, (Aaron) who came to give the hard sell. I explained very carefully that though the product is fine, I did not plan to buy one at this time, regardless of price or trade in. (I have an older Kirby, works fine.) This salesman continued his sales pitch. Ultimately Aaron walked out about 8:30 and Ray refused to shampoo the carpet because they could not finish their sales pitch.

Needless to say, I am done with Kirby sales.
